Was it not Oscar Wilde who once said “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?” No? Charles Caleb Colton, you say? I stand corrected.
Someone known only as ‘Anonymous Denkian’ sent me a link to a SEGA blog post from yesterday, which has the headline: “Are You SEGA Enough?”
Hmm.
This phrasing is similar enough to our “Are You Denki or Not?” refrain as to make us giggle and smile and claim that we’re now inspiring SEGA in their recruitment efforts. They’re showing off some different skills than us though, so instead of offering a toy to find out if you’re appropriate, they’ve made a hypnotic video with some music.
Of course, we have no way of knowing if we really have inspired them (or indeed if the hypnosis part is true or not), but perhaps someone from SEGA will chime in with a comment.
And honestly? More games companies should take this approach to recruitment – it just makes sense (IMHO).
