For an upcoming episode of Denki Radio, we thought it might be fun to answer questions from you, dear reader. Generally, we’d prefer that these questions be related to Denki in some way, but if you have other questions we’ll do our best to answer them1.
As per usual, it’ll be Colin Anderson (Boss), Gary ‘Gary’ Penn (Creative Boffin) and myself (#1 Fan) on the show, so feel free to direct questions at a particular target.

A friend and I were arguing about the economic downturn yesterday and how it affected the game development scene.
Points that indicated it was actually good for the gaming industry included that a person is far more likely to purchase a £30 game that may last a week to a month than to spend £20 on a single night out, or a single trip to the cinema (using more conservative purchasing which might include more cheaper downloadable games), but arguments against included the fact that developers may seek to take fewer and less tricky risks with the IPs they develop, resulting in a stagnant library for the average consumer.
As a smaller developer, which would you say rings most true to you and the team… or would you argue it is neither extreme?
Colin. Now that the development process is at an advanced stage and has been fine-tuned, are you ready to “let go” and accept that “smeg” is a valid word for use in Quarrel?
Gary. How do you manage creative differences? Particularly if two people both have good ideas and there is no easy way to select the more appropriate one, either logically or by prototyping. Do you rely on gut feelings? And are some people’s guts more reliable/contextually appropriate than others? Discuss [20]
