You may have noticed that we’re quite keen fans of Pixar here at Denki HQ. There are several reasons for this. Firstly of course, they have an admirable approach which combines creativity with a ‘factory’ like output. Secondly, their focus on teams shows that you can indeed have large groups of people working on original projects in a disciplined, fun and highly focused way. Thirdly, their entire ethos is on telling stories and more importantly, telling stories which interest them – not what they think the market wants to see.
Oh, and they make movies too.
Which reminds me, we’re all off to the cinema to see UP this afternoon.
What? We did mention working at Denki rocks, right?
If you’re stuck in the office, looking out at a glorious Friday afternoon and NOT going to the pictures and enjoying 3 litres of highly-sugared carbonated beverage, then why not check out Empire’s last visit to Pixar and wallow in a little bit of behind the scenes awesome.

Best Pixar film yet. Everything was so well done, pretty, thoughtful, fun and astonishingly human.
It’s obviously a day for balloon-related news and updates. What happens when Balloons meets science:
