As we may have mentioned, team Denki was out in force at this year’s Game Developer Conference in San Francisco. Apart from perhaps showing one or two people a teeny glimpse of a certain game, we also had Mr Penn, taking part in a ‘micro talk’ (like a ‘real talk’ but with half the calories).
Actually it is a tightly controlled presentation, in which you have 20 slides, each of which displays for only 16 seconds. It’s a rapid-fire machine-gun like info-dense spray of information and was one of the highest scoring GDC panels in previous years.
Gary spoke about how games are permeating more and more aspects of everyday life, as well as The Way and The End – and why game makers should consider them – whatever they’re doing.
Edge Online has posted a summary of Gary’s microtalk, while the gentleman himself has posted the actual words bit on his blog.
Enjoy.
